Priced at $50, this deluxe edition will launch with a copy of the game, the digital soundtrack, and cosmetics for The Rot and Kena’s staff. Ember Labs partnered with Maximum Games, a sub-publisher on titles like A Plague Tale: Innocence and Minecraft Story Mode. Kena: Bridge of Spirits is also getting a physical deluxe edition in November. Who knows, maybe I’ll finally capture some memories of my own. I can’t wait to see all the photos that players post on social media. Nevertheless, the game’s charm and warmth undoubtedly come through. I’ve never seen this component in a video game before (as I said above, I usually don’t activate in-game photo modes – maybe some of you have seen a feature like this before?). Taking pictures, however, amplifies these gorgeous visuals, and a “Say Cheese!” option lets Kena and her friends properly pose for the camera. Kena has no shortage of awe-inspiring vistas, vivid magical effects, and endearing character models. Charmstones: Discover Charmstones that can be equipped to provide different advantages and disadvantages to customize your playstyle.A Photo Mode trailer also dropped today.Outfits: Unlock brand new outfits for Kena to wear by mastering The Trials.Spirit Guide Trials: Sharpen your skills and unlock rewards in The Trials, including: Wave Defenses, Obstacle Courses, and the chance to take on key boss-fights again and again.
Of course, I know every Chinatown visitor has one main priority: the food. Here's why #NewYorkCity Click To Tweet Photo via Jing/Pixabay Eating In Chinatown #NYC's #Chinatown is so much more than food. Just remember to trust your gut-feeling “massage parlors” are not usually open at 3 am. So if you want to escape from the city without actually leaving it, head below Delancey Street. And unlike many neighborhoods in New York, I don’t see gentrification taking over Chinatown. The wild behavior is kept inside the venues, so you won’t see loud drunks in the street yelling at their Uber driver. These parties are not advertised, but somehow fill to capacity. Stores and marketplaces that operate as regular business from 9 to 5 turn into raves and dance spots at night. But at night, debauchery becomes the norm, and it’s exquisite. Photo via wiebkepetzold/Pixabay The City’s Mistressĭuring the day Chinatown is a hustling, bustling, working-class neighborhood. These women were no taller than 4’9″, but I wouldn’t want to get on their bad side. Day after day, I saw the same four elderly women with a mouth full of gold teeth, dictating operations of their section of the neighborhood. It’s like having an encyclopedia that is related to you. They are by no means a neglected member of the household, they are running the show. But after studying more closely, I believe that all the experience that this person has gained over their lifetime has made them an extremely valuable family member. At first I thought it was solely a respect thing. I’ve seen people who clearly graduated high school during the Great Depression, still living with their family. In America we are shipping people off to the elderly home at 38, with no qualms about it. I didn’t know ten people could live in a room, though I also didn’t know I could have a pork bun for breakfast. When you walk into some of the local apartments it’s like human Jenga. Once the immigrants became established, they started bringing over family members from their home country, and Chinatown began to grow. During this time, a lot of small businesses started popping up on Mott Street. Being faced with discrimination from the West Coast, Chinese immigrants moved to the East Coast in search of a better life. The Chinatown that exists today started to come into fruition around the late 1800s. Photo via PublicDomainPictures/Pixabay Home Away From Home That might sound lazy to some, but in the winter I felt like I won the lotto. There were weeks where I never left Chinatown because everything was in arm’s reach. Once you get the hang of the neighborhood, you find out that everything you need is right in your immediate vicinity. Being in a place where you can’t read or understand the language, you learn to live on your gut-feeling and cheap dumplings. I speak from personal experience, living there myself. Have you visited #NYC's #Chinatown? Here's why you should #travel Click To Tweet If you’re an adventurous eater, you’ll have an easy time finding menus you can’t read, though being pleasantly surprised (and sometimes confused) by what’s brought out to you. You can walk down the street and get lost in your head because you don’t understand the language (unless you speak Mandarin or Cantonese). Street and store signs are all in Mandarin, the official local dialect. Where one sees a mix of restaurants in the East Village and the Lower East Side, practically all the food here originates from the the Cantonese and Fuzhounese cultures. It’s no secret that the area below Delancey Street is a whole other world through every sense. Hey, who needs coffee, when you can have an 80-year-old elbow waking you up? The streets are littered with spit, vendors, food crates, trash and people. Noise usually starts around 6am, which is a perfect time to start construction (said no one, ever). Here it’s actually possible to feel like you’re in China, or at least the NYC version of what Chinese culture becomes on the USA’s East Coast. This isn’t the case in Chinatown, which is one of the most unique places in NYC. And almost no matter where you go in New York, you feel like you’re in New York. Fighting For SidewalkĪlthough New York City is a melting pot, these days it seems the only thing in that pot is very expensive ingredients. Realizing there’s no hope for sleep you go down to your local bodega, get a premium $1 coffee, and proceed to take the first drag of last night’s cigarette and prepare for another interesting day in Chinatown. Now you’re forced to sleep with the window open, but the car alarms and odor provide an unbearable concoction. You thought you could do without an air conditioner this summer (hey, those Con Ed bills get pricey!) but you were sadly mistaken. It’s the middle of a New York City summer, and heat is coming from every possible direction cars, subways, bicycles - even your newly single next door neighbor. Sandy from FlI prefer Luther's soulful and less sanitized version.Steve from Ottawa, CanadaWhen she sings, "baby baby baby baby oh baby" is she mocking what the guitarist said to her?.So that fact led me to the conclusion that the guitarist was Eric Clapton. In those days, they were stick around with Eric after breaking up the This song was written about a relationship between a guitarist and his groupie.īy the way, did you notice that Who it was guitarist on this song ? I think it was Eric Clapton, a great guitarist in the world.īecause this song was written by Leon Rusell and Bonnie Bramlett in 1969. I know that you guys love this song and I like the song, too. George from Vancouver, CanadaI wonder if Justin Bieber was a closet Carpenters fan, & this multi-use of one word inspired "Baby".Bodhi from Nyc"kawa", that was my guess too - that the guitarist who is 'heard on the radio' and who "plays sad" was eric clapton.Of course, this is my opinion but I love songs that are classics or become classics - Karen's version is the all time classic. Good lord, my question is why? So far no one has come close to putting the emotion or the velvet voice of Karen Carpenter into this song. from CaliforniaWow, I had no idea this song has been redone by other artists. Pierre from Oakland, California The fact that Luther Vandross released his version the same year Karen Carpenter passed away makes me wonder if his take on it was in some way a tribute to her? Her voice was something special. And Karen nailed it on the first take, reading lyrics from a napkin. How do great arrangers do it? I mean, "I think I'm going to use a harp for the intro". Randall from MarylandOne of the greatest arrangements in pop music history, by Richard Carpenter.Bob from GlasgowThe version by Paul Quinn & The Independent Group is probably the most soulful and moving take I've ever heard.
Other than Reaper Leviathans, they consume the Crimson Rays or Lava Lizards when fully grown and presumably Lava Larvae and Magmarang and Red Eyeye when born. The entire life-cycle of the Sea Dragon Leviathan is almost exclusive in the Inactive Lava Zone and Lava Lakes only leaving their natural habitat in order to sustain their food supply by hunting Reaper Leviathans in the shallower waters. Similar to the Lava Lizard, the Sea Dragon is completely resistant to the Thermoblade. The Sea Dragon Leviathan will get stuck inside the walls of the map, but still be able to attack the player. When the Sea Dragon Leviathan is exposed to damage, it will flinch and commonly, if the player is close, it will swat them away dealing large amounts of damage to the Player if they aren't in any Vehicles. A sustained barrage of small fireballs, known as the Fire Breath attack, can deal lots of damage in a short time to the Prawn, it'll often swat the vehicle soon after and do this again if you're still in the vicinity. The Sea Dragon Leviathan can deal massive damage to a Prawn Suit very quickly the swat attack does 11% damage to the suit, the Sea Dragon Leviathan also has the ability to grab the vehicle in its mouth and deal 10-20% damage before releasing it it often swats immediately after. The Sea Dragon Leviathan will attack the Cyclops by slamming it with its arms with considerable force, often leaving the Cyclops upside down or on its side. The Sea Dragon Leviathan is also capable of firing a barrage of small "fireballs" covering a wide area. Occasionally, the Sea Dragon Leviathan will open its mouth wide and fire a molten rock at its target as a projectile attack. If the Sea Dragon Leviathan attacks the player with its mouth, it will swallow the player, killing them instantly even if the player has the Reinforced Dive Suit equipped. It will attack the player with its arms if they are on either side of its front body by swatting them away and dealing 40 damage to the player. Just being in close proximity to the Sea Dragon Leviathan will cause the player or Prawn Suit to be jostled due to the water it displaces. The Sea Dragon Leviathan uses its arms and tentacles to swim in the water at great speed according to the "Damaged Anchor Cable" entry from the Disease Research Facility, it is capable of exerting over 300 tons (600,000 pounds) of force by ramming. Its rear-side consists of seven tentacles, also lined with orange spots and ending with small tentacular clubs, the largest tentacle being surrounded by the six smaller ones. A large sail sits on the creature's back, just below the shoulders. It has two long forearms ending with webbed, four digited hands each digit ends with a claw that is approximately equal in size to the player's entire body. Along the side of its body runs two long trails of small hollows that emit orange bioluminescent glows. It also has a second set of larger fin-like protrusions beneath its lower jaw. The tip of the snout features two short, green protrusions with orange glowing tips. The mouth contains a pink tongue and thirty-two large teeth, visible even when the mouth is closed. The head of the Sea Dragon is stout and reptilian, possessing two pairs of glowing orange eyes with white pupils, a crack-like pattern spreads from the pupils to the rest of the eye. Many of its body parts are adorned or spotted with orange bioluminescent glows, and many small spines line its lower jaw and arms. It has protective plates on the underside of its body that start at the neck and run down to where the tentacles begin. The body is mostly dark green in color, along with purple accents on its webbed limbs and head. The Sea Dragon Leviathan's body mostly resembles the Sea Emperor Leviathan, albeit much smaller and slimmer in design. Omer Yankelevitch has lofty ambitions for uniting Israeli and diaspora Jews.Michigan State University is a member of the Association These projects have given manyįaculty members overseas experience and have added new dimensions to their teaching. Six months into her job as Israel’s diaspora affairs minister - and with the future of the current government, and therefore her tenure, in jeopardy - Yankelevitch is optimistic and enthusiastic about taking on such a mammoth task. “I see the Jewish nation as 15 million Jews, not 7 million and 8 million ,” she told Jewish Insider in an interview earlier this month in her Knesset office. “We’re 15 million Jews, and that’s powerful. And that’s what I intend to invest a lot in, in building that connection and creating that partnership.” We can have an incredible power, if we can look at ourselves as one big group - that may have disagreements, and that’s OK, that’s part of the story, it could be that we won’t always agree, and sometimes we’ll agree to disagree, and that’s also OK, sometimes we won’t even agree to disagree, and that’s OK too - but if we see ourselves as one big group, we will benefit from that. Yankelevitch, 42, entered the Diaspora Affairs Ministry during a particularly challenging and restricting period for Israeli-diaspora relations, as the COVID-19 pandemic hampered not only her own travel but also largely put a halt to Jewish groups and officials visiting Israel. “It has been six very challenging months. “I came into the job with a lot of ambition, with a sense of mission.” The first thing she did, Yankelevitch said, was to figure out “how do I transfer everything going on in this office immediately to the world of Zoom, to the world that is practical for this incredibly complicated period?”Īnd that transformation, she said, has also had its upsides. “On September 1, on the first day of school in Israel, I visited three schools for their openings - and then I sat down and I was in Helsinki, Germany, France and Uruguay,” she recounted. “In no normal year would I be able to open the school year in so many different places.”įor the first time since she took office in May, Yankelevitch traveled abroad last week, spending three days in Los Angeles meeting - while socially distanced - with Jewish community leaders and officials in and around the city. “We decided that despite all the difficulties we want to travel” abroad and meet face-to-face with diaspora Jews, Yankelevitch told JI shortly before her departure. After a whirlwind 72 hours, including meetings on college campuses, and with officials from the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Anti-Defamation League, the minister returned to Israel last week with a heightened sense of purpose.
